Golden Glenrothes is a community-based project exploring the future of the Glenrothes West. It aims to involve residents, schools, community groups, local businesses, voluntary organisations, the council, and others, to inform an action plan for the future of Glenrothes West.

Golden Glenrothes is being delivered by a community-focused charity called PAS. The project has the support of, and assistance from, Fife Council and the Scottish Government.

Golden Glenrothes took place in May with four days of exhibitions and workshops and a feedback event. The exhibitions and workshops were designed to share ideas, set priorities and create a shared 5, 10 and 20 year vision for the area. This will lead to a regeneration action plan for the Glenrothes West area and a costed masterplan for the Glenwood Centre.

The drop-in exhibitions and workshops taking place during Golden Glenrothes will help generate a mandate for the production of both an action plan for Glenrothes West and a costed masterplan for the Glenwood Centre.

The Glenrothes West Regeneration Action Plan will look to set out a series of short, medium and long-term physical and non-physical actions that can bring about positive changes to Glenrothes West.
